The highlight film
3, 5 or 8 minutes, in a cinematic, documentary or upbeat style. Vows and toasts laid over the music, cuts on the beat.
00:00:00:00 For wedding photographers who don’t edit video
AfterRushes is the AI film editor that does the part you never wanted to learn. Drop in your camera cards and it finds the moments, builds the story, cuts it to the music and hands you a highlight film and a social teaser.
00:00:08:00The problem
“The photos are culled by Tuesday. The film is still on the card.”
Hours of clips from three cameras and a phone, and no time to edit them.
“The upload takes all night.”
Cloud editors want the whole wedding first, often 100 to 500 GB.
“Another monthly bill.”
One more subscription for a tool you use at weekends.
“Couples keep asking for video.”
You’d sell more of it if editing weren’t the bottleneck.
00:00:21:12How it works
Point AfterRushes at your camera cards and phone folders. It reads several cameras at once, rejoins recordings the camera split into parts and skips junk files.
It checks every half second for sharpness, shake and faces, transcribes speech and finds the music’s beats. All on your computer.
Claude, Anthropic’s AI, reads still frames and the transcript, logs each clip’s best moments and writes the story of the day.
Ask for changes in plain English, or move, trim and delete shots yourself. Then export the film, the teaser and the captions.
00:00:47:00What you get
3, 5 or 8 minutes, in a cinematic, documentary or upbeat style. Vows and toasts laid over the music, cuts on the beat.
30 or 60 seconds for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, with each shot framed around faces.
The toasts in one film, for the couple and the families to keep.
14 00:14:32,120 --> 00:14:36,400 I promise to laugh with you, even on the long days. 15 00:14:37,050 --> 00:14:39,900 And to always save you the last dance.
A .srt file for every film, ready to upload wherever the film goes.
00:01:12:08Your footage stays with you
Cloud AI video tools make you upload the whole wedding before they can start. AfterRushes does all the video work on your own PC. Only still frames and transcripts go to the AI.

00:01:38:16Made for weddings
AfterRushes understands a wedding day: getting ready, the ceremony, the vows, the speeches, the first dance, the party.
It finds the vows and toasts and lays the best lines over the film, with the music dipping under them.
It uses the band or DJ recorded on the day as the soundtrack, when the recording is clean enough.
The vertical teaser frames each shot around faces, so nobody loses their head in 9:16.
Cuts land on the beat, and shots skip blurred and shaky seconds.
Footage shot at 50 or 60 frames per second plays as slow motion.
The sound is levelled to streaming standards, and every film gets a captions file.

00:02:55:20On our test wedding
Our test wedding was a reception: 26 clips, 15 minutes of footage. These are the numbers it produced.
On a PC with an NVIDIA graphics card, using GPU acceleration.
Paid to Anthropic with the photographer’s own key.
Including a one-time download. The AI steps added a few minutes more.
Time grows with the amount of footage and depends on your computer. It all runs in the background.
00:03:20:04Who made it
[Founder's name] shoots weddings and built AfterRushes to edit their own films.
[Two-line founder story]
Why we built AfterRushesNo. All the video work happens on your computer, and your video files, edits and finished films stay there. Only still frames from each clip and the transcript of what was said go to the AI to plan the film. Where your footage goes shows the whole picture.
No. AfterRushes is a one-time purchase ([Price to confirm]). The AI is paid for with your own Claude key, directly to Anthropic, at cost.
On our 26-clip test wedding the AI cost $0.55 to $0.66. We estimate about $3 for 150 clips and about $8 for 500 clips. Claude Sonnet 5.5 costs about half as much as the default, Claude Opus 5.5.
It makes the first cut. You make it yours: move, trim or delete shots, accept one-click suggestions, or type requests like “make the opening slower” or “use the second song”. Undo is always there, and only the shots that changed re-render. See making an AI first cut your own.
A PC running Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. We recommend an NVIDIA graphics card (it’s faster), [RAM to confirm] of RAM, and plenty of free space on a fast drive for working files. See the download page.
